	New installations of the TorkStar TS1000 Utility Lineset July, 2005. Royal Theatre, Victoria, BC, Canada. Wing space is limited and storage is at a premium at the heritage Royal Theatre in Victoria, BC. Without space to store a brand new Steinway full grand piano, the Royal & McPherson Theatres Society (RMTS) in Victoria, BC is using the TS1000 Utility Lineset to fly a "piano garage". Their storage problem is being solved using a specially designed climate controlled storage "sled" and a TS1000 lineset system. When not in use, the piano will be stored in the sled 25 feet above the stage deck immediately beneath the fly floor. Two TS1000 motor winches in the design will give a total lifting capacity of 2,000 pounds. The Posilok feature of the TorkStar system allows this to be done in compliance with requirements of the Ministry of Labour. The TS1000 Utility Lineset has been purchased for the theatre by the Royal & McPherson Theatres Society from dealer Christie Lights of Vancouver. Birchmount Collegiate Institute in Toronto will be a beta site for a flown safety rail at the front of the stage. The safety rail is in place at the front of the stage when it is used as a classroom. With a turn of a key, the rail is flown out for theatrical productions. Moving the rails in and out of position several times a year by hand would require considerable custodial time and labor; not to mention aggravation. The TS1000 lineset system will save the school time and money. The school can reclaim over 2,000 sq. ft. of stage for classroom and other use. With the success of this beta site, it is intended that all Toronto District School Board stages over five feet from stage deck to pit floor will receive the same treatment: a TS1000 Utility Lineset system with safety rail.
